Charles Brenton Widmeyer
(1884-1974)

Nasceu no dia 19 de Julho de 1884 em Morgan, West Virginia. Faleceu no dia 14 de Dezembro de 1974 em Los Angeles, California.

Widmeyer serviu como presidente da Universidade do Nazareno de Point Loma (1923-1926) e Chefe do Departamento de Assistência Ministerial do Nazareno (1923-1948).

Além deste hino, Widmeyer também escreveu e compôs (Letra e Música) o hino Nº 301 da Harpa Cristã: “Vem Cear”.
